Imagine packing up your motorcycle and setting off for India. By land. 28,000 uncertain kilometers through exciting countries lie ahead of you, while your home disappears in the rear-view mirror. A bold venture? Maybe. One hell of an adventure? In any case!

Erik and Alain dared to do just that. The two hardy Cologne natives are practiced at escaping the comfort zone with a plume of dust, but the legendary overland route to India holds new surprises around every bend, even for the well-traveled friends. On the way through Turkey, across the Caucasus and further along the Silk Road through Central Asia, Erik and Alain indulge in the rock’n’roll of their road trip, take on the seemingly endless expanse of the Kazakh steppe and steer their Yamahas along dizzying chasms through Pakistan up to the snow-covered roof of the world. Fierce weather capers in thin air, oil filters full of holes and pothole-ridden tracks demand a lot from the adventurers before they can plunge into the notorious traffic chaos of the subcontinent. After six months, 14 countries visited and countless adventures, the journey finally ends on the Indian Ocean under palm trees.
