Cabaret winter 2024: René Sydow – In whole sentences

It could leave you speechless: the old moan, the young tweet, the woken genders, the assis proll, the right divides, the left too. Only the clever ones have fallen silent. That’s all over now!

Because Germany’s most eloquent cabaret artist now speaks in full sentences. In doing so, he addresses and expresses what is concealed, hushed up and talked about in our language and society.

He dissects the language of domination and internet babble, lets the hot air out of frothers and blowhards, exposes phrase-mongers and word-mongers. Where others blather, he talks straight. Where people talk, he notes. Instead of blah-blah there are thoughts, instead of larifari: sense. And when the audience asks: “Is it even allowed to say that?”, the cabaret artist answers: “Yes. But in full sentences.”
