Not many artists can look back on 18 years of stage experience at the start of their solo career, but William Wahl can. The member of the well-known a cappella group Basta has already enchanted audiences with his extraordinary voice at many performances. Since the release of his first solo program “Wahlgesänge”, he has also ventured into new challenges on his own.

The singer, pianist, author, lyricist and arranger was already obsessed with music as a child. While other children played, he honed his skills on the piano. He studied music in Cologne and Berlin and directed several musicals. He also enjoyed singing with friends at school, which is why he founded the group Basta together with them, for which he wrote most of the songs himself. Now he is proving that he can also create incredible live moments on his own. Comedically cheerful or melancholy and sarcastic, the artist plays with moods, genres and stylistic elements as he alternates between song, chanson, chamber pop and musical medley.
