Classic movies in concert

James Bond, Jedi knights, hobbits and masked superheroes: The “Film Classics in Concert” concert, which will be held at the Milchwerk on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 8 p.m., is literally great cinema. As part of an unusual project, the municipal music school takes listeners on a musical journey through the world of the big screen stars. This is the first time she has brought together her two largest ensembles for a joint concert program. The intergenerational Chamber Orchestra+ and the Youth Wind Orchestra (JBO) play an exciting selection of famous and popular film music titles together on the large stage of the Milchwerk. From “Star Wars” and “James Bond” to “The Typewriter”, numerous classics from film history will be heard.
