Flower fairy tales and garden dreams – on the picture books by Ernst Kreidolf
Even as a boy, the Swiss artist Ernst Kreidolf studied meadow flowers and made botanical drawings – these resulted in wonderful picture books that reveal his knowledge of plants in lovingly crafted illustrated stories and made him famous far beyond the borders of Switzerland. The lecture by art historian and herbalist Monika Leister spans the spectrum from imaginative illustration to naturopathy.
