Special exhibition on the districts
28. March 2024 – 23. February 2025
In 2024, the Radolfzell suburb of Markelfingen celebrates its 1,300th anniversary – in fact, its first mention: in 724, the village was included in the initial endowment of Reichenau Monastery as a fiscal estate of the Frankish king. The other five suburbs of Radolfzell Böhringen, Güttingen, Liggeringen, Möggingen and Stahringen also have their own eventful history.
They have one thing in common: 50 years ago, all six villages were incorporated into Radolfzell as part of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg. Reason enough to present the exhibition “Village life. History(s) from the Radolfzell districts” from March 28, 2024 to February 23, 2025 to focus on these villages. The exhibition opens the door to past village worlds, self-confident localities and dramatic events that are also part of Radolfzell’s history.
The Radolfzell City Museum is open Thursdays to Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. For further information please call Tel. 07732 / 81-530 during opening hours or at www.stadtmuseum-radolfzell.de.
