The Triolog ensemble consists of three musicians from three different countries – Serbia, Germany and Austria. They have been playing together in the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra in Constance for many years.

But the musicians have also gotten to know and appreciate each other very well in various chamber music formations, from octet to quintet to trio.

They developed a special love for the literature and the formation of the string trio, from which the ensemble Triolog eventually emerged.

The chamber concert on Friday, 22.03.2024, 7.30 pm in the Radolfzell City Library invites you on a musical journey with works by Haydn, Schubert and Beethoven under the motto WIENER MELANGE. Haydn’s String Trio in G major, op. 53,1 opens the evening with two highly original, entertaining movements and the typical musical wink of its creator. Franz Schubert composed two string trios in 1816/1817, whereby the trio played here (B flat major, D 417) remained unfinished. However, this string trio movement is one of the most charming miniatures in Schubert’s chamber music oeuvre. The final work will be Beethoven’s String Trio in C minor, op. 9/3. The string trio genre occupies a prominent place in Beethoven’s early works. The Trio in C minor, composed together with two other works in the years 1796-98, presents itself in an almost symphonic tonal language and great emotional range – an expression of how the young composer sought and found his very own musical language.
